We pride ourselves on ensuring that our state has the talent, information and resources it needs to keep tech as the fastest growing sector in our economy. We provide a forum for people, programs, and ideas to connect—and then we focus our efforts through a number of high-impact initiatives.
Each program is led by an advisory committee comprised of technology industry professionals from diverse backgrounds. Here are our current programs
Our technology innovation initiative is designed to cultivate a richer, wider community among all of Rhode Island’s many tech professionals. To achieve this, we orchestrate a broad spectrum of opportunities for professionals to meet-up, network, share best practices, apply for awards, and take advantage of innovation-forward training opportunities.
Our Professional Development initiative is guided by the belief that the tech field is one of constant learning and discovery. Take advantage of our professional development trainings to propel your knowledge and career to the next level. We leverage our industry and academic connections to put together trainings in response to key employer demands.
Women in Technology
The Women in Technology (WIT) program aims to inspire and advance women in the technology field through education, mentorship, networking, and common support activities. Guided by the direction of the WIT advisory committee, this group focuses on creating opportunities for growth that result in business solutions, professional advancement, and personal growth.
Our youth programs and events are carefully crafted to encourage STEM learning, break down gender myths, and offer career insight into STEM industries. All programs and events are led by an advisory committee, comprised of both industry and K-12 education professionals.
Tech Collective is also the central industry representative to Rhode Island’s P-TECH high tech program. This program offers high school students accelerated tech learning, with the potential of graduating high school with an Associates Degree in Computer Science.
Industry Responsive Programming
Through industry-responsive programming, we strive to meet Rhode Island’s current professional needs while also keeping a sharp eye on the future. Some examples of activities that were sparked by industry request and need include: Agile, Cybersecurity, Diversity & Inclusion, Legal for Start-ups, and HR Development.
