Open Source Security Tool – Learn System Hacking and Password Cracking: Cain and Abel

Tech Collective understand the power of collective collaboration and together with our Cybersecurity Steering Committee have drafted a plan to support our Rhode Island Tech Ecosystem by hosting monthly Open Source Security Tools event.

System hacking is one of many ways hackers get access to individual computers on different types of networks. This presentation will go over, the main methods of system hacking password cracking, keylogging, spyware installation, and the countermeasures IT security professionals can take to fight these attacks. Cain and Abel are designed to collect credentials and crack passwords. This training will introduce companies and organizations to different types of attacks using Cain and Abel and go over methods and best practices to detect, prevent and counter these types of attacks.
