Join us for the November Agile RI meetup at Tech Collective on Tuesday, November 19th from 6-8 pm on ‘Agile at Scale using Jira Software & Portfolio for Jira’ facilitated by Eduardo Lessa, Agile Practice Lead & Atlassian Product Manager at Gurnet Consulting
Can agile practices work across a large portfolio of many teams and lots of developers? We will look at the role of context and autonomy, as well as some common characteristics found among high-functioning agile portfolios. Successful organizations communicate across the portfolio. They share knowledge and break barriers between organizational silos.
We need to approach agile at scale differently. The reality is, in order to effectively operate agile at true enterprise scale, it needs to be understood and approached deliberately.
Should I create a product roadmap? We all know that the biggest benefit of the product roadmap is the strategic vision it illustrates to all stakeholders. The roadmap matches broader product and company goals with development efforts, which align the teams around common goals to create great products.
In this presentation we’ll look at the big picture understanding why there’s a need to take a unique, deliberate approach to successfully delivering agile at scale. We’ll talk about Atlassian’s strategy to scaling agile by using Jira Software and Portfolio for Jira. We’ll spend some time highlighting the need for both a culture shift as well as how to get the most from your tooling. We will highlight some of the important features of these applications that will take the pain and wasted time out of scaled agile.
