Overview


Whether you’re a designer, a developer, or an entrepreneur who’s looking to get your own company off the ground, knowing how to effectively lead a team and complete a project is an essential element of success.


This Bootcamp reviews the fundamentals of project management. It’s a good place to start whether you’ve found yourself taking on a pm role in your organization or are looking to transition to a career in the field.


In this workshop, you’ll get an introduction to project management processes and best practices for interacting with the client, stakeholders and your team. Working with real world examples, you’ll gain the tools and resources that you’ll need to increase focus and improve your team’s productivity.

Prereqs & Preparation


Prior to the workshop, participants will receive a project worksheet. They will need to complete Section 1 of the worksheet, Describe Your Upcoming Project, before the start of class. If you also have any specific challenges in mind with regards to current or past projects, please bring them with you!


Participants will need to bring a laptop or writing materials to take notes with.

About the trainer:


Eden Holt Levi is a Senior Project Manager at Global Partners, a Fortune 500, retail and wholesale fuel and logistics company based in Waltham, MA. Eden’s project management style is inspired by her background in Sociology, Systems Theory, and Swarm Theory. Managing diverse projects from the creation of a digital loyalty platform to multi site acquisitions, Eden works with project teams and stakeholders to leverage energy towards the best possible outcome for all.


Eden believes in the power of teams and the role of a leader in cultivating teams that can do awesome things together. In teaching at GA Eden hopes to empower managers to think broadly about the projects they manage, the impact to their organization, and their ability to inspire people on project teams to execute in the most efficient and fun ways.


A former lieutenant in the Israeli Defense Forces, Eden is trained in leadership and operations management. Additionally, Eden is a General Assembly alum herself completing a Product Management 10 week course and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
