Measurements, Metrics, and Management, Oh My! The Importance of KPIs…

Have you heard the adage, “If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it”? This is one of the foundations of a successful Continuous Improvement (CI) environment. Without good data on how your CI initiatives are impacting the business, you’re probably not maximizing the savings you have worked so hard to create. And a business case presented without metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to back it up is much less likely to gain the stakeholder support you need to execute your Continuous Improvement plans.
This workshop will focus on the benefits and challenges of measuring Continuous Improvement initiatives. It can be hard to quantify the savings being generated by CI efforts, but it is possible. We will look at various metrics, measurements, and KPIs that companies have used to manage and maintain support for their CI plans. Session attendees will have the opportunity to share what has worked (or not worked!) for them and gain knowledge and inspiration from the experiences of others.
