Introduction to Project Management
May 27 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT
Project Management is one of the most important disciplines in business today. Companies run projects all the time, but many projects go over budget; are delivered late; and/or don’t meet customer expectations. Project Management provides processes, tools and techniques which improve how projects are defined, planned and executed so they can achieve their intended goal.
Participants will receive a general overview of project management, including key terms, and major benefits. They will be introduced to several key processes which will be explained in subsequent, more detailed presentations.
About the Presenter:
Rob Massoud worked for over 35 years as a project and operations manager in several companies, including Fidelity Investments and CVS Health. During that time, Rob ran several projects focused mostly on internal process improvements as well as being responsible for training of project managers and project support teams.
Rob has been teaching project management at the college level for 8 years, and is currently a full-time lecturer in the Management department at Bryant University, teaching mostly project and operations management courses. He is also a senior affiliate faculty member at Wentworth Institute of Technology, teaching in both their undergraduate and graduate project management degree programs.
